Faith

There laid at my feet an old rusty penny

It didn’t have any significance; cause I’d seen many.

Though as I was about to pass it by –

A voice spoke unto me,

Pick up this penny for it contains plenty

For if you wish to know the joy of life –

Remember these words

That are inscribed

In God we trust, has a profound effect,

For life would be worthless,

If I were to neglect

So, I’ll trust him to brighten my day –

Since this penny has shown me,

There is no other way
